I have this crazy idea.

I want to change careers. Yeah, I know that it doesn’t sound like a crazy idea, given that the average adult changes careers about 12-15 times during their working years. But I don’t want to only change careers by myself.

Let me explain by going back to the beginning.

This blog became a thing when I tried applying for a help desk position in tech. I did not have any experience in the field. Or certifications. Also, it’s clear by now that every recruiter or interviewer I’ve spoken with to date are turned away by my lack of experience and certifications.

So I started this blog to display my resume, and my notes from school. That way, I can prove a portion of my skills up front. Well one recruiter said my resume was trash, and other recruiters won’t even look at the website.

It’s a bummer of a situation, but it isn’t totally a bad thing. I decided to keep releasing my notes to help others along the way who were in the same position. We could certainly use each other for motivation to get our certifications.

Maybe this blog will be helpful to many, some, or none. But if one person benefits from my content, then I know that I’ve accomplished my goals with this blog.
